Crime Prevention Semi-finals

  • Jul. 31st, 2009 at 9:40 PM

Today was the Semi Finals for Crime Prevention competition.
It is held at Mountbattan CC just like the qualifying round.
At 1.30 the casts & crews met at the drama studio.
After rehearsing, put on the make up, arranging props etc. we left school around 3pm.
The performance went quite well (I suppose).
Comments were rather positive with some suggestions.
From around 16 schools, only 3 schools will make it to the finals.
Hopefully, we will be able to make it!

And speaking of finals for Crime Prevention, here is a refreshment on last years' finals of ZHELDDS skit which we got 5th/6th. Yea, just click on the link.

Today's session was basically for blocking some of the scenes.
After getting into the semifinals, there was a need to improve the acting, blocking, sets etc.

There will be a full-dress rehearsal in which both cast and crew are to be present on Thursday at 3.30pm
The semi-finals will be on this Friday in which we might be released earlier before school.
Venue will be at same place as qualifying round.
If you do not have the consent form for semi-final round, do get from Mrs Dheeraj.

Hi there, I am back again!
As you would know, I have been posting updates on the ELDDS blog a year ago and stopped doing so.
However, I'll try to fill the blog with updates of ELDDS session, as far as possible, though do mind my grammatical mistakes.
(And also for the sake of our dear President, who is not present today),
Here is the update of the ELDDS Session on Wednesday, 24th June:

Unofficial Minutes (Totally).
At 2pm, the Drama Studio was opened for us to get in.
There was a short meeting with Mrs Dheeraj where she talked about some H1N1 safety protection
And that CCAs without competition was suspended for a week.
Due to crime prevention competition, ELDDS will continue :)
To our great surprise, especially for the sec4s, Danny suddenly appeared at the Drama Studio.
Trainer Danny will be guiding us for the Crime Prevention skit.
(He trained ELDDS years back)
So, we played some icebreakers game.
Played some meaningful reflective games to learn from it and bond together.
Then there were interesting activities such as getting into the emotion that Danny said.
We even played some skit games.
Afterwards he passed each of us a script for the Crime Prevention.
After browsing, he allowed us to read the skit one by one.
Through there he audition and hopefully narrow down to 6 casts.
Ofcourse, the others will also play a very important role as crews that will help greatly in the skit.
The cast list is not confirmed as Andrew is yet to be selected.

DO CHECK THIS WEBSITE REGULARLY TO BE KEPT UPDATED!

Cheers,
Xavier See, Secretary
of ELDDS

Hi everyone, after this week , the secondary 3s will be taking over and the secondary 4s would be " untouchable ", ( though trust me, we will be back =D )

Just to say that in this four years, we have had our fair share of fun and sorrows when we're in this CCA...and i believe you would experienced it too...We would also like to thank everyone  ( especially the juniors for all their support all this time )....

This four years in your secondary school life would probably be both the best and the worst four years of your life...so we hope that you would treasure and enjoy it...we also wish that all of you can give your utmost support to the new EXCO....

On behalf of all the sec 4s i would like to wish:

All the best to everyone in ELDDS

This is where the magic begins...
